How to participate locally

Get involved in Freedom Sunday in Tulare County!
Tulare County Child Abuse Prevention Council is organizing local participation in the global Freedom Sunday 2016 in March 9, 2016. Here’s how your can get your church prepared for Freedom Sunday!

Sign up as a participating church!  Fill out the easy online form here. That way, CAPC can connect with you to help you prepare and notify you of available training and resources. Also sign-up on the Freedom Sunday website to add your church to the global number!

-Identify you Freedom Sunday leader(s), the person who will be in charge of this activity and our contact person.

-Read our Invitation Letter and  share with the appropriate leaders of your church.

Decide if you are going to have a short focus time or extended focus. Our sample agenda and resource provide guidance for whatever option you choose.

-Use our Freedom Day resources.  Access them here. CAPC has prayer guides and other handouts. This page includes resources you can use to prepare for Freedom Sunday, such at the Not For Sale Resource site and other useful information we’ve found. Also see our Church resource page.

-Contact CAPC for assitance. Brandi Nuse-Villegas can provide Freedom Sunday to those interested.

-Plan on whether you will have a speaker. The Tulare County DAs Office, Family Services of Tulare County, Child Welfare Services, and other entities have representatives who are available to speak to groups on human trafficking and/or do training. See information on trainers here

-Consider what action points you may want to focus on as a group. View our Ways To Get Involved. You may want to choose certain actions as a congregational effort, such as getting resource provider sign-ups for the Grace City App or hanging TCDA Office’s outreach posters in your town.
